WHAT KIND OF LAWYER SHOULD YOU CALL?

A lawyer is a lawyer is a lawyer, right? Well, not really. If you’ve ever had a legal question and just called the first law firm that popped up on Google, you may have gotten quite the run around. Although lawyers in Missouri aren’t allowed to claim that they “specialize” in any certain area of law, most attorneys do narrow their focus to just one or two areas and aren’t able to provide help for matters that fall outside of those matters.

But types of law can get really confusing, and the names of practice areas don’t always help clarify what they do. Here I’ve put together a list of some common legal issues people face and the type of lawyer that might handle their issue.

If you have or know of a legal issue I should add to the list, send me an email at lawyer@skilledlawllc.com.
